Commercial Finance Senior Analyst - Marketing
This role is based in London - Here at William Hill we have a BALANCED approach to our people’s working patterns and we are able to offer up to 80% home working in the UK, joining us at one of our offices (Leeds or London) 20% of the time to allow you to connect,collaborate and build relationships with your team and stakeholders.
Reporting into the Head of Commercial Finance - Marketing, you will have an exciting opportunity to play a key and influential role supporting our Marketing Commercial Finance function. With a track record within Commercial Finance and with previous experiencesupporting a Marketing Team, you will business partner our UK Marketing Team and guide the performance of our UK William Hill & Mr Green Online Businesses. You will be responsible for, as part of a wider finance function, performance and spend, maximizingprofitability and the financial management of our Online Portfolio. This is a newly created role and offers an excellent opportunity to help define and implement reporting & insights and build strong relationships. This will be a challenging and exciting 1styear in role, perfect for an experience Finance professional looking to make a positive and long-lasting impact in a fast paced and growing organisation.

Your role in the team
- To directly support our Marketing Team as the Finance Business Partner
- To ensure Marketing Investment decisions are made with profitability in mind, and fully
- Appraised via the Investment Appraisal framework, to optimize and prioritise spend
- Presenting weekly/monthly performance tracking updates to Marketing and the wider Commercial Finance Team on variances to Plan and key drivers behind gaps, to facilitate an action plan to close the gap
- Working with the wider BI & Marketing Team to deliver analytics to better understand performance and provide insights for effective decision making
- This role currently has one direct report and you will lead, coach and develop as part of the role.
Skills Needed
- With a track record within Commercial Finance and experience of working with a Marketing Team, you will be a Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA). You will be confident business partnering senior stakeholders with P&L ownership, and have the demonstrableskills to provide advice, challenge ways of thinking and decisions to provide effective support, ensuring performance is understand and analysis is at the heart of decision making.
- You’ll have excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and a proven ability to build collaborative and meaningful relationships. Used to business partnering at a senior level and able to engage and influence across all areas of a business, you’llbe a real people person, instilling trust and confidence in your customers and peers. We need you to have experience of coaching and developing, mentoring or leading others to provide effective line management support.
