Tourist Information Officer

**Job Summary**
We are seeking a friendly and knowledgeable Tourist Information Officer to join our team at Ivisit. As the first point of contact for visitors, you will play a key role in providing excellent customer service and promoting local attractions, events, and services. You will assist tourists with inquiries, provide maps and brochures, and offer recommendations to ensure visitors have a memorable experience. This role requires excellent communication skills, a passion for travel, and a deep knowledge of the local area.
You will also be dealing face to face with both visitors and attractions from the local area who will be popping in and out of the tourist information centre. You'll be there to assist, guide, and ensure they have everything they need. Since you'll be interacting with a wide range of people from across West Wales, strong communication skills, a professional appearance, and a commitment to excellent customer service are key. You'll play a vital part in representing our brand and making sure every interaction leaves a positive impression.
The ability to speak Welsh is not compulsory but is an advantage.
**Duties**:
**Provide Visitor Assistance**:Greet and assist visitors with inquiries about local attractions, accommodations, dining options, and events.
**Distribute Information**: Hand out maps, brochures, and other informational materials to help visitors explore the area.
**Promote Local Attractions**:Recommend and highlight key attractions and activities to enhance the visitor experience.
**Support Local Businesses**: Collaborate with local attractions and businesses to promote their services and events.
**Customer Service**: Ensure a welcoming and positive experience for all visitors and attractions addressing any concerns or issues promptly.
**Maintain a Professional Image**: Represent the company with a polished appearance and uphold our brand values in all interactions.
**Sales Transactions**: Operate the cash register, process payments, and ensure accurate transaction records.
