We are excited to announce that the Oxford City and North East Adult Mental Health Team are looking for experienced Mental Health Nurses who are ready to take a leading role in transforming the lives of people with mental health conditions.

The Oxford City and North East Adult Mental Health Team are a friendly and dynamic integrated mental health team supporting adults with a wide range of mental health conditions.

You will be working with a rich cultural mix of people based within the beautiful city of Oxford and neighbouring areas and we are looking for experienced nurses who can make a positive difference to this client group.

You will clinically lead a small team consisting of newly qualified Nurses/ Occupational Therapists, Nurse Associates, Peer Support Workers and Support Workers to provide care and interventions to a complex caseload of patients. This will be as part of a wider team working alongside 2 - 3 primary care networks, supported by both psychiatric and psychological therapy clinicians.

You will act as an advanced autonomous practitioner, demonstrating a high level of practice/ knowledge whilst participating in direct evidenced based patient care working as part of a multi
- disciplinary team providing professional and clinical support to patients.

You will undertake autonomous health assessments; diagnosing, treating and discharging patients within own competence and as t he Senior Keyworker will provide expert care and treatment to patients within agreed protocols and clinical guidelines.

You will provide support within the team and act as a role model and resource, encouraging and developing a high standard of clinical skill and improving patient outcomes.

**You will function in a variety of role dimensions**: health care provider, educator, researcher, clinical advocate and implementer of clinical governance.

You will be a senior clinician within the team. The role will predominantly be clinical, but also include some operational leadership and supervision to your small team of junior staff.

The Oxford City and North East Adult Mental Health Team is a wonderful team to work in and this role offers an opportunity to develop senior clinical and leadership skills. The team managers are committed to the wellbeing and development of the staff working in their team. We also have twice weekly MDT meetings, where our energetic and supportive collective meet to share ideas and discuss the messy stuff.

We strive to provide person centred and evidence based care to patients, families and their carers.

We use the principles of a flexible assertive community treatment (FACT) model of healthcare. We have incorporated FACT into the daily functioning of the team; which enables us to be focused on the recovery of the patient through a multidisciplinary (MDT) approach; with expertise from doctors, social workers, nurses, occupational therapists, support workers and psychological therapies staff.

We are committed to a person-centred recovery approach in all our clinical work and pride ourselves in offering a high-quality service reflected in our CQC rating of Good.

Team members also participate in being duty worker about once a week. The service is open Monday to Friday 9:00 to 17:00 not including bank holidays.

The City and North East Oxon Adult Mental Health Team's main base is at the Warneford Hospital, a stones throw from the centre of Oxford and the dreamy spires.

The Oxford City and North East Adult Mental Health Team is split into three Flexible Assertive Community Treatment (FACT) teams; Willow, Oak, and Aspen, which are aligned to local Primary Care Network patches. We have a diverse patient population, with close links to the two Universities.
