Theatre Matron

As a key member of the Surgical Management Team the post holder will be required to ensure provision of safe, effective and efficient services within the Main Theatre Department and other outlying areas including Abergele Theatres.

Are you an enthusiastic and highly motivated Nurse or ODP who is ready for a challenge ? This is an exciting new senior post within the theatre department and the post holder will work closely with the Theatre Manager, the Head of Nursing and the Surgical Directorate Management team.

You will be based in theatres and have a portfolio as Theatre Matron and will support the Theatre Manager through efficient and effective operational management of the Nursing and ODP workforce, guaranteeing provision of high quality evidence based practice, which will be delivered within the theatre complex at Glan Clwyd and Abergele. The post holder will have a particular responsibility for Quality, Safety and Governance.

You will need to demonstrate excellent inter-personnel and communication skills strive for change and enjoy a challenge.

The post holder is required to act as a senior professional demonstrating advanced knowledge and skill beyond that associated with traditional roles, including the integration of research evidence into practice by expert clinical reasoning and decision-making.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
