This is an exciting opportunity to join Lambert Smith Hampton’s growing Commercial Property Management team in Yorkshire, based in Sheffield. Lambert Smith Hampton is currently looking to bring a Graduate Surveyor into our Commercial Property Management team in Sheffield working as part of our Yorkshire based team.
**Key focus of job**:
This position is aimed at those who are enthusiastic about property and are looking to develop a career as a commercial property manager through the APC pathway. The position suiting someone with excellent organisational skills, who is ambitious, who can communicate effectively (with clients and colleagues), has a focus towards being a team player, can display practicality when confronting challenges and tasks, and is keen to push on with their own professional development. We are looking for a team player who can support the Director/Head of Department and other team members in the management of their clients and portfolios.
We are committed to developing the role and it is envisaged that the successful applicant will take responsibility for and lead on the property management of a mixed portfolio of properties within Yorkshire on behalf of property companies, local authorities, management companies and private clients in due course. This is a mixed portfolio of various asset classes, working for a variety of clients who place utmost value on a customer-based approach to tenant engagement, taking on the following tasks;
**Main tasks**:
- To assist the Directors and manage the portfolio effectively.
- To assist in resolving day-to-day management issues efficiently.
- To liaise with clients and tenants on a regular basis and to work closely with Property Management Accounts in ensuring excellent service is provided to all clients.
- Deal with Client and tenant communications.
- To complete property inspections (initially under supervision).
- To be responsible for service charge management / preparation of budgets / deal with reconciliations in accordance with RICS guidelines.
- To fully engage in client meetings as required and ensure client requirements are acted upon efficiently and effectively.
- To represent LSH and the full range of property related services available to clients.
- Work with Facilities and Building Managers in relation to multi-let assets assisting in the production of service charge budgets / health and safety compliance / utility management.
- To provide an all-round best in class approach to property management based on proactivity, ownership and positive engagement with all stakeholders.
