I am looking for a supply chain assistant to join a company that is experiencing a period of extreme growth based in Ely. The main responsibility will be to provide administrative support to the supply chain and inventory department so good administrationskills are essential.

**Key responsibilities of the supply chain assistant**
- Maintaining information on stock arrivals including vessel details, ETAs, and collection schedules from port.
- Organising delivery schedules with our forwarding partners and our in-house transport department.
- Liaising with our forwarding partners and exchanging customs documents.
- Raising purchase orders via our ERP system (Merlin), processing with the suppliers and progressing through to receipt of goods.
- Working with the Goods In department to ensure all deliveries are received, processed accurately, and reconcile against supplier invoices and packing lists.
- Lead the process of returning goods back to our suppliers, including booking return haulage and exchange of customs documents with our forwarding partners and suppliers.
- Maintaining information on various Purchasing spread sheets as necessary
- Aiding the Supply Chain Manager with any other reasonable task.

**Skills & Experience Required**:

- Strong administrator
- Excellent organisation and self-motivated
- A good level of competency using Microsoft Excel
- Freight forwarding or supply chain experience
- A good sense of humour
- High attention to detail, accuracy and listening skills
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
