**Job Title: Education Consultant**

**Department/Division: Manchester or London Office | Sales/Service**

**Report To: Office Manager**

**Job Purpose**

To work directly with the Office Manager in meeting department’s targets in relation to the company’s business strategy and agreed key performance indicators.

To provide qualified services to the parents and students in regarding educational counseling as required by the policies and guides of the departments and the company.

To facilitate the development and maintenance of priority partnerships/collaborations with key 3rd parties, e.g. schools, campus agents, governments, agencies, and other contacts within the recruitment strategy.

To help promote and build the profile of INTEN Education in the region.

**Main Duties**

To conduct the marketing activities in the territory assigned.

To travel throughout the region assigned to present INTEN Education and its represented education institutes at education fairs and other recruitment events and liaise with key marketing partners, e.g. schools, campus agents, governments, agencies.

To coordinate visits to the region by other members of other offices of INTEN Education.

To advise potential parents and students on further education opportunities, guardianship service where appropriate, and the full package of service to meet the best interest of the client.

To maintain the after-sales service of guardianship service within the standard in light of the department operation guide.

To provide qualified counseling to parents according to the report and guide developed by assigned service consultant in the UK

To undertake project work as decided by the Managing Consultant.

**Key Responsibilities**

To meet the sales target set by region, sales point, and season.

To implement the skills and techniques to meet the sales targets.

To develop existing marketing channel under the support and supervision of Managing Consultant.

To communicate current and future marketing activities to all level of staff within the company.

To provide the monthly report to parents.

To manage the assigned agent network.

**Knowledge—Essential**

Degree level education.

Possess a basic working knowledge of sales and service-oriented position.

Up to date knowledge of Secondary Education and Higher Education system in the provincial region.

Broad understanding of related work areas and wider sectorial / external awareness.

Knowledge—Desirable

**Skills—Essential**

Self-motivated and able to work under own direction and initiative, and to a tight schedule.

To be able to show initiative and possess the ability to generate and implement new ideas and new approaches to student recruitment and partnership building.

Excellent interpersonal and networking skills, demonstrating an ability to deal with a wide range of people, including those holding senior positions

Excellent communication and presentation skills (written and oral), including high-level negotiation skills and presentation skills.

Proven high-level communication skills, obtained through representational and negotiating activities

Project management skills

Analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly for identifying trends in markets, generating original ideas and innovative solutions

Understanding of business culture in China.

Fluent Chinese language skill, in both speaking and writing.

Excellent time management, administrative and organizational skills, and attention to detail.

Knowledge of Word, Powerpoint, Excel and databases including Access

Experience of public-speaking.

Fluent English language skills, e.g. B2 certificate.

Managing a devolved budget.

**Experience—Essential**

Based in the UK with a working knowledge of the education systems across the region

Demonstrable success in recruitment, marketing or PR.

Market development and relationship management

Event attendance and presenting to an audience

Experience of complex administration within a pressurized working environment.

Experience of managing and processing data.

Lead or initiate projects with measurable outcomes beyond own team.

**Experience—Desirable**

Knowledge of the UK HE sector, including recruitment processes and infrastructure.

At least 2 years’ experience of student recruitment.

**Planning and Organising**

Planning for recruitment visits throughout the region including travel and appointment schedules for the Education Consultant themselves, the Managing Consultant, and other colleagues of the department.

The ability to adapt and change plans at short notice according to unanticipated circumstances.

Planning appropriate visit schedules for inward visitors to the office and outward visits of staff from our office to ensure the goals of visitors and our staff are achieved.
