Systems Accountant / West Sussex / Finance

**Client Details**

A growing West Sussex organisation are seeking a Systems Accountant on a permanent basis.

**Description**

As Systems Accountant, you will be responsible for:

- Maintain user accounts on our ERP system
- Manage our banking software, ensuring authorities and permissions are in line with relevant business approval frameworks
- Maintain the chart of accounts and other dimensions across all systems to ensure reporting accuracy
- Be responsible for software implementation and configuration to ensure sales tax compliance
- Own relationships with external consultants
- Driving ERP automation forward to improve controls and reduce the workload in the business
- Delivering key systems improvement projects to either increase the capability of existing systems or add additional systems to our finance tech stack.
- Building reports and dashboards and Jet Reporting
- Building (with support from FP&A) or amending models
- Maintaining data integrity between all of our reporting, finance and visualisation systems
- Ensuring data integrity for platform sales data between third party marketplaces and the internal data warehouse and ERP system through detailed reconciliations and other checks.
- Ensure internal and external systems are configured to support sales tax compliance and transfer pricing requirements
- Subject matter expert on third party marketplace and payment gateway reporting capabilities
- Maintain reporting packs required for our external investors.

**Profile**

In-depth knowledge of multiple ERP systems.

The individual will have an excellent understanding of the various systems and components within a finance tech stack and how to ensure integrity and compatibility across it. This includes reporting and budgeting systems, invoicing systems and banking software.

A strong track record in report building, working with colleagues in FP&A and accounting teams to produce high quality, automated reports is a key attribute to be successful in the role.

You will have experience in working with multiple stakeholders, including external consultants and internal departments (eg IT) to ensure data integrity and deliver projects.

Given the number of improvements we would like to make, we expect you to have a strong grounding in project management, with a demonstrable track record and, ideally relevant qualifications (eg PRINCE2).

Whilst being a great team player is important to deliver the requirements above, the individual will need to be able to demonstrate an ability to work autonomously.
