About Inwood House: Step into the welcoming world of Inwood House Nestled amidst the serene landscapes of Horbury, just a stone's throw from Wakefield, Inwood House presents an idyllic setting for residential care. At Inwood House, we cater to up to 50 residents, providing a warm, family-like atmosphere where currently 31 individuals call home. Our team is dedicated to delivering exceptional, personalised care, with a focus on dementia and residential support. We also offer short-term respite and rehabilitation services, ensuring a comprehensive care experience. The home boasts several communal lounges, a charming on-site café, a professional hairdressing salon, a spacious dining room, and a sun-drenched room. These spaces are designed for relaxation and enjoyment, overlooking the splendid views of our gardens. Inwood House is a hive of activity - we offer an array of social opportunities, from engaging craft sessions to karaoke, arts, bingo, and our popular "knit & natter" gatherings, not to mention 'fish and chip Fridays' Being an Activities Co-Ordinator, you will: - Adapting to meet the individual needs of clients. - Delivering a programmed schedule of activities with individuals and groups. - Encouraging and supporting clients to reach and maintain their optimal level of independence. - Encouraging self-awareness, exploration and reflection on feelings and relationships. - Monitoring and evaluating the effects of the service being provided in order to facilitate client progress. - Liaising with the senior staff team on all aspects of the service being provided. - Making best use of effective skills in the use of ICT. - Making best use of effective written and oral communication skills.
