**Berneslai Homes** has an exciting opportunity for a **Family Intervention Service Keyworker** to join their team based in **Gateway Plaza, Barnsley.** You will be working on a**full-time, permanent basis** (37 hours) and in return, you will receive a **competitive salary of £29,174 to £31,895 per annum plus benefits.**

**The Family Intervention Service Keyworker role**:
Our Family Intervention Keyworkers are part of our innovative Tenants First Service who work to address family’s needs and risks associated with their behaviour by working in a proactive and holistic way to deliver an evidence based model of early intervention,support and enforcement to assist families to 'get their lives back on track' before difficulties spiral out of control.

The role is highly demanding, you will be working to address intergenerational patterns of behaviour by providing non
- negotiable, persistent, intensive support to families with multiple and complex needs. You will need to have drive and determination, excellentinterpersonal skills, and a positive and flexible approach to working.

**Key duties and responsibilities of our Family Intervention Service Keyworker**:

- Manage a caseload of families who fulfil the service criteria
- Undertake whole family assessments and collate multi-agency information about existing and planned involvement
- Attend meetings, including child protection conferences, core groups, safeguarding meetings where necessary and contribute towards the development of specific action plans for the families within your caseload
- Provide and deliver inclusive intervention packages and to be responsible for the management and monitoring of the specific support plans assigned to your caseload
- Ensure all monitoring and evaluation is completed in line with requirements
- Work closely with all partners to identify where there are apparent gaps in service provision and commitment
- Prepare and present reports as requested
- Maintain both paper and computer files
- Work flexibly as required to meet the needs of the service, including early mornings, evenings and weekends
- Attend Court and present evidence as and when required 11 Contribute to and develop best practice within the team and service provision
- Safeguard the health and safety of all persons under your control in accordance with the provisions in the Health and Safety Legislation and Berneslai Home and BMBC codes of practice and procedure

**What we’re looking for in our Family Intervention Service Keyworker**:

- Relevant degree or substantial relevant experience of working with children, young people and families. (i.e. Housing, Criminal Justice, Social Work, Health, Youth Work, Education)
- Relevant experience of undertaking whole family assessments, in line with children’s social care, and early help
- Ability to travel as necessary to meet the needs of the post
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and produce / present reports
- Relevant experience of working with children and families displaying serious and/or persistent anti-social behaviour
