**What you'll do**
We have an exciting opportunity that has arisen for an experienced and proactive **Surveyor**, to join our spirited Commercial Services Team. In this progressive role, no two days will be the same. The primary function of the role is to provide a responsive repair, maintenance and surveying service to the commercial student and keyworkerportfolio. You’ll ensure that all student and keyworker accommodation are maintained to the highest possible standards and that all contractual, statutory and regulatory requirements are met. You will draw upon your experience in Project Management to tacklesmall, medium and large-scale projects, and always ensure that staff, residents and partners are provided with a high standard of service.

**What you’ll need**
- At least 2 years’ experience as a building surveyor in a maintenance environment, delivering responsive repairs & maintenance services including pre and post inspections, with the ability to produce detailed specifications of work.
- Project Management experience with effective communication skills, both orally and in writing.
- A competent knowledge of relevant and current codes of practice, building regulations, health and safety legislation, standards and materials.
- An in-depth knowledge of construction and design and construction related defects and how to avoid them.
- Knowledge of procurement law and different forms of contract management.
- The ability to analyse data to identify trends and priorities.
- You’ll be able to manage a flexible and demanding workload to meet agreed targets and deadlines.
- The ability to establish appropriate working relationships with the contractors, internal and external client contract managers and other staff.
- It is important that you are able to undertake site visits, which may include working at heights/use of ladders etc.
