**Position**: Part-Time Shop Assistant
**Location**: East Reach, Taunton
**Hours**: 3 days per week, working independently on assigned days
**Salary**: £12.21/hour

We are a family owned and run business, who manufacture, supply and fit made to measure blinds. Our team is dedicated to providing excellent service, a welcoming atmosphere, and quality products to our customers.

**The Role**:
We are looking for two reliable, friendly, and self-motivated individuals to join us as Part-Time Shop Assistants. The role is shared between two people, with each working independently on different days. As a Shop Assistant, you will handle all aspects of daily shop management, ensuring a smooth, efficient, and welcoming environment.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide outstanding customer service, addressing inquiries and ensuring customers have a positive experience.
- Handle sales transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Organise samples, ensuring displays are tidy and appealing.
- Manage and maintain records using Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Open and close the shop independently, following security procedures.
- Handle any minor issues or challenges confidently and responsibly.

**Key Requirements**:

- **Customer Care**: Friendly and approachable, with excellent customer service skills.
- **Communication**: Strong verbal and written communication skills, ensuring clear and accurate information exchange.
- **Self-Sufficiency**: Ability to work alone, confidently handling all duties with mínimal supervision.
- **Organisation**: Highly organised and attentive to detail, with the ability to keep the shop well-presented.
- **Tech Skills**: Competent in using Microsoft Excel and Word.
- **Reliability**: Punctual, responsible, and able to follow shop protocols independently.

**Qualifications**:

- Prior experience in a retail or customer service role is preferred.
