Warwick Ward are a well-established family business who supply and stock new and used construction and recycling equipment. They believe people are their number one asset and their dedicated team are all driven to achieve the mission of “Quality without compromise”. The business is growing rapidly, doubling in size in the last two years, and now operates across four sites in the UK with plans for another two in the next twelve months. Due to business growth an exciting opportunity exists for an experienced finance assistant to assist in all areas of the finance department.

Based at the Centre of Excellence (Tankersley) key responsibilities include:

- Processing weekly / monthly hours ready for submission to the external payroll provider and labour performance / cost reporting to other departments
- Euro Treasury function, including account reconciliations, cashbook journals and reporting; along with forward ordering Euros and reconciling various exchange control accounts.
- Invoicing and account control of three business units from setting the contacts up to weekly / monthly invoicing, P&L and balance sheet reconciliation as well as issuing reports to show performance and variances.
- Assisting the Finance manager with the production of monthly management accounts
- Dealing with ad hoc queries
- Cover for sickness and holidays for the other accounting function when required

The Person
- Ideally, you will have a proven track record in a similar varied accounting role or looking to step into this type of role
- You will be well organised, methodical and have a good attention to detail with strong numerical and IT skills
- You will be a good communicator with an empathetic approach and capable of working in a team or independently
- You will be able to multi task, work under pressure and to tight deadlines
