Handy Person

**40 Hours a week Monday - Friday 8am to 4.30pm**

Cobwebs have an exciting new opportunity for a Handy Person based at one of our client’s prestige sites in Paignton.

Previous experience and knowledge in this role is preferred, ability to work on own initiative, with excellent organisational skills is required.

You will be working alongside the facilities team to maintain a high level of service to ensure the smooth running of the business.

**Key responsibilities.**

Ability to undertake basic repairs such as, minor plumbing, changing of light bulbs, painting and decorating and other general handyman duties

Reporting of maintenance faults, organization of sub contractor's for emergency and PPM works.

To undertake Health and safety compliance inspections, such as fire alarm testing, water temperature testing, fire door checks, emergency lighting checks and ladder inspections.

Dealing with facilities related requests in a timely manor

Carry out office moves, fit outs and equipment relocations.

Ensure monthly meter reading are recorded for Gas, water and electric

General porterage duties, collection of incoming mail and parcels, undertake hand deliveries around the office as required. Provision of Milk and general refreshments to all rest points.

Ensure all waste documentation is logged and filed, undertake monthly checks of all Risk assessments and COSHH assessments

Ensure all service areas are kept clean and tidy, to include the external area to the building, litter pick weekly. In winter times ensure gritting is carried out.

**About you**

You must be proactive and self-motivated, resilient and organised with the ability to communicate well with on site teams and the facilities management.

**Required Skills**:
Experience in working within an office environment

Experience in managing contractors

Knowledge of Health and safety practices

Basic maintenance in handling hand tools

Confident Microsoft suite (outlook) Teams, share point

**Qualifications**

Health and Safety Qualification (desirable)

General Knowledge in Risk assessment and COSHH

**Salary**: £24,500.00 per year
