**Surface Plasmon Resonance - Principal Scientist**

**Location - Oxfordshire**

**Sector - Pharmaceutical Drug Discovery**

Our client is a global drug discovery & development company and due to continued company expansion, they are now seeking an experienced SPR Scientist to join their Oxfordshire facility. The role will be based within their Structural Biology team with a focuson drug discovery programs offering innovative SPR approaches to research.

**The Role**:
Working within an established group you will be responsible for designing and conducting research projects and overcoming research challenges. At Principal Scientist level you would be responsible for:

- Ensuring project goals and deadlines are achieved.
- Utilising Scientific knowledge to resolve project challenges
- Interpretation, analysis and presentation of research in project technical meetings
- Prioritise activities and resources to effectively schedule experiments for project efficiency
- Provide mentorship, training and guidance on experimental design and execution

**Suitable applicants will be expected to have**:

- Extensive knowledge of Surface Plasmon Resonance (SPR) in the offering of innovative solutions to drug discovery challenges
- Good working knowledge of Biacore systems and small molecule experience.
- Technical knowledge to include - Crystallography, specialist production methods (e.g. cell-free, radio-labelling etc.), computational chemistry tools, LEAN tools
- Demonstrated experience with the successful delivery of research projects.
- Previous experience in the management and supervision of research teams would be beneficial
- Educated to PhD level (or equivalent) with relevant post-doctoral experience.
