**Position**Academy Trainer
**Responsible to** Group Training Manager
**Purpose of Role**
To ensure that everyone who works within Alina Disability Support is trained in a way that **values the dignity of the individual and promotes choice, respect, participation and independence**.
Promoting the company values of **Respect, Quality, Innovation, Collaboration**, and **Integrity** to ensure best practice.
**Responsibilities**
Delivering training programmes to support the delivery of all aspects of social care including:
- Care Certificate Induction
- Specialist and bespoke training
- Role-specific training
Training for office and supervisory staff
Complete all training administration tasks, including but not exclusive to updating the Academy Training Planner to reflect attendance, marking assessment questionnaires post-training, marking and providing feedback for the Care Certificate workbook to ensure all carers/support workers are in date and compliant with training requirements.
Support the Group Training Manager to ensure that all care/support staff have the necessary skills for specialist packages of care.
Support the Group Training Manager to evaluate the effectiveness of staff training to gauge the appropriateness of training content and delivery methods.
Support the Group Training Manager to provide effective feedback to Branch Managers regarding their staff team's Continuous Professional Development.
Deliver high-quality training sessions, workshops, and presentations using a variety of formats, including in-person sessions, Microsoft Team presentations, and hands-on demonstrations.
Utilise effective facilitation techniques to ensure active participation, understanding, and retention among care/support staff.
Promote the values of the organisation and best practices through providing effective support and direction to care/support staff.
Support the investigation and resolution of complaints which may arise from any training programme.
To promote a positive training culture ensuring a range of training techniques are used to engage the learner.
**General**
Contribute to own supervision and appraisal in line with organisational requirements.
Undertake any training deemed necessary to carry out the full requirements of the post.
Attend team meetings as required.
Abide by all policies and procedures, protocols, legislation, national guidance, NICE, NTTO guidance to ensure Quality Assurance standards are met.
Carry out any other duties that may be required appropriate to the level and nature of the post.
**Personal Specification**
Be experienced in providing personal care and support to a wide range of customers/service users and must have a sound knowledge of Health and Social Care.
Demonstrates good teaching, mentoring and coaching skills.
Driver essential and must have reliable transport (car driver).
Able to self-motivate and motivate others.
Be adaptable, and flexible and focused.
Good presentation and communication skills.
Ability to write reports and keep records.
Have excellent IT skills.
Be able to work under own initiative and as part of a team.
**Qualifications**
Hold a relevant training qualification and/or be willing to achieve this.
**Practical Skills**
Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with customers, service users, staff and management.
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing in a clear, concise and accurate manner and good listening skills.
Ability to analyse information to produce accurate and timely reports.
Good problem-solving ability.

Pay: £27,500.00-£28,000.00 per year
