As a Warehouse Operative, you'll play a key role at the centre of our operation, where every action you take contributes to our customers enjoying their favourite M&S food.

Gist Thatcham is one of our original distribution centres built in the 1980s with a warehouse of 110,000 square feet to exclusively service the Marks and Spencer Food contract.

We provide free parking and public transport from Reading and Newbury areas is available via the number one bus or train which is only a 10 minute walk from site. We have a subsidised canteen with hot and cold food available in slots across days, nights and weekends. We also offer complimentary teas and coffees for all colleagues.

**What will you do & what will you need**

The role will include handling goods from intake through to dispatch, loading and unloading vehicles whilst adhering to our health & safety culture at the site. Scanning and picking different products and moving stock around while working with our heavily invested modern electronic voice equipment. You will play a key role working as part of a warehouse team in a chilled environment, we’ll provide appropriate uniform, but we recognise it’s not for everyone.

We are also looking for passionate, adaptable, and collaborative people. Ideally, you'll be able to follow instructions whilst working together as a team with pace and adaptability.
