Unqualified Teacher/ Cover Supervisors required for daily supply in East London

£72 - £90 per day

Supply work - part time or full time available

At Engage, we’ve built up strong relationships with fantastic Primary & Secondary Schools in East London. We have schools in Barking & Dagenham who are looking for Secondary Cover Supervisors to cover for sickness absence, courses and planning time in avariety of secondary schools across East London.

This position would suit graduates who are thinking about going into teaching who have some experience working with secondary-aged children and want to build up confidence in the classroom, Teaching Assistants who are looking for that new step up or thosewho have any experience working with secondary aged children in any capacity.

**About the role** As a Cover Supervisor in Secondary schools, you’ll be an experienced Teaching Assistant who supervises pupils carrying out pre-planned work when teaching staff are off work for a certain period (for example, sickness or paternity leave). The main job ofa Cover Supervisor is to manage a classroom and behaviour while ensuring that pupils complete the work which has been set.
- Supervising the students and ensuring they complete set tasks
- Managing behaviour
- Assisting pupils when they have questions
- Following the school’s behaviour and safeguarding policies
- Collecting the completed work and handing it to the Head of Department
- Providing feedback on the lesson and pupils

**About you**:

- Must have an undergraduate degree
- Must have previous experience working with secondary aged children
