Local Unit & Position Description:

This is a great opportunity for a dynamic, professional who lives and breathes training. This exciting new position has been created to support DNVs staff at all levels with their training requirements. As a Senior Engineer / Training Officer, you will be responsible for designing and delivering training programs to all levels within the department. You will be expected to oversee, amongst other things, the apprenticeship program and ensure that our apprentices receive the best possible training and support. You will also be required to support Laboratories & Testing department staff who are studying to achieve a Higher National Certificates & Diplomas and where applicable support staff working towards a degree.
Hybrid working would be considered but onsite attendance at various sites within the UK is expected, in particular our test facility in Cumbria

Position Qualifications:
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Design and deliver training programs for apprentices in the engineering field.
- Develop training materials and resources that meet the needs of our apprentices and our company.
- Collaborate and coordinate with the department to recruit and onboard new apprentices.
- Monitor the progress of apprentices and provide ongoing feedback and support.
- Ensure that all training programs, including non-apprenticeship, are delivered in compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Develop training programs for all level of staff and ensure their alignment with awarding bodies
- Continuously evaluate and improve the effectiveness of the training programs.
- Attendance at Career events at Schools and Colleges
- Supporting mature students studying for Higher National Certificates and Diplomas
- Supporting staff working towards a degree
**Requirements**:
- Have previous experience in a training environment, ideally in an education setting
- Experience using the Digital Apprenticeship Service Account
- Evidence of ESFA Apprenticeship funding rules
- Clean driving license
- Have excellent interpersonal, communication, and administrative skills showing a flexible and professional attitude.
- Be a highly self-motivated, energetic, and driven individual, with the ability to work flexibly and manage your own time.
- Be able to build positive relationships with reluctant learners, displaying excellent communication, organisational skills, and administrative skills
