**Freight Administrative Assistant**
Job summary
JBM Freight Ltd are seeking an administrative assistant who will be working across all aspects of the business in freight forwarding. We are looking for someone who is customer focused and has a great attention to detail. Training will be provided where applicable.
Responsibilities and duties
**Operationally**
Working with our current customers and suppliers - providing end to end management of day-to-day jobs, by quoting, booking, and tracking jobs.
**Accounts**
Process supplier invoices, manage supplier queries where required. Chase customers for payment of invoices - this involves sending copy invoices, supporting documents and statements where required. Liaise with the account manager where customers have queries regarding the cost of the job. Upload and match supplier invoices on freight software.
**Sales**
A requirement to speak to suppliers to get rates and quote jobs for existing customers and new customers if the account manager is away.
**People**
Personable manner that can have an open conversation with internal and external people to ensure excellent customer service.
Able to organise workflow. Breaks down work into process steps. Able to prioritise and schedule work.
Take a logical, methodical approach to solve problems
Uses professional verbal and written communication skills
Developing good client communication skills
Experience and skills:
Freight Forwarding - desirable, but not essential.
Finance administration - desirable, but not essential
