**Job description**:
**Role**
This is an exciting opportunity to join our newly-established Governance, Risk and Assurance (GRA) directorate, which is responsible for driving the continuous development of TPR’s governance structures and processes. As Corporate Governance Business Partner you will be part of a friendly, professional and fun Corporate Secretariat team. You will be responsible for running and managing one or more of our senior committees, you will own and manage key central government reporting requirements and you will provide advice and support on governance good practice and continuous improvement throughout the organisation.
You’ll have excellent written English, a keen eye for detail and be a practised minute taker. You’ll also be confident at identifying opportunities for improving current systems and developing tools and resources to help improve the corporate governance function. You will have the ability and confidence to simultaneously engage with and manage the expectations of stakeholders at all levels, and to build effective, mutually supportive relationships across TPR.

**Responsibilities**
You will:
- Effectively run and manage one or more senior committees and/or the Board (working with and managing senior stakeholders, arranging meetings, drafting agendas, co-ordinating paper packs, taking formal meeting minutes)
- Demonstrate best practice, enable and support continuous improvement across the business, for example by providing templates, written guidance, advice and resources on paper-writing and governance
- Work with the Board Secretary, Head of Corporate Governance and Board Chair to support non-executive directors through induction, training and continuous development (acting as a first point of contact for new members, managing the induction process for new Board members, providing information, setting up introductory meetings, helping to design, arrange and signpost training)
- Own and manage key central government reporting requirements, including the development of processes and reporting mechanisms, working with / supported by the Head of Corporate Governance and the Board Secretary,
- Ensure internal and external online content is up to date

- At least three years’ experience as a minute-taker and senior administrator at Board or executive level in a large and complex organisation
- Experience of developing and delivering template documents, guidance and training
- Strong communication skills including excellent written English.
