As DMC Healthcares endoscopy services continue to grow, we are looking for experienced Endoscopy Decontamination Staff to join the team across the Bolton, Wythenshaw Manchester & Trafford Area.

**Main duties of the job**

There are several aspects to the role which will include:

- To work as part of a team in the decontamination facility to receipt, check, wash and prepare contaminated medical devices prior to automated disinfection.
- To work as part of a team in the cleanroom to product release (Verification that the product has met the required standards to progress within the process of decontamination) from the endoscope washer disinfectors, check, inspection, assemble and the medical devices.
- To place medical devices into correct drying/storage cabinets in accordance with required standards.
- To make sure that the correct medical devices are dispatched to the correct location.
- Assist in the maintenance of a clean and tidy environment in all areas of the Endoscope Decontamination Department, to include the cleaning of the decontamination equipment e.g. Washer/Disinfectors, Drying/Storage Cabinets, water/air flushing systems and sinks.
- Assist in maintaining a safe and secure working environment in accordance with policy. Report accidents/incidents to the Supervisor / Production Controller / Sterile Services Operations Manager/ Decontamination Lead.
- Assist in the disposal of clinical and non-clinical waste.
- Report any deficits, breakages or faulty equipment to the Supervisor / Production Controller.
- Prepare an endoscopy unit for days patients in relation to instrumentation, equipment and supplies required for specific procedures, ensuring waste is kept to a minimum
