Our client, a highly reputable regional civil engineering contractor focusing predominately on infrastructure and groundworks projects, is going through a sustained period of growth and are seeking an experienced Site Manager for commercial projects basedin and around Edinburgh and the Lothians.

With an array of successful contract awards recently, they are looking to appoint a Site Manager capable of managing groundworks packages up to £10m in value.

**As the Site Manager, you will be responsible for**:

- Managing health and safety on-site, ensuring it is a safe place to work, everyone is inducted and has the correct PPE for tasks they are given.
- Ensuring contracts are delivered safely on time, within budget and to the clients’ specification.
- Managing any direct workers & subcontractors on site.
- Maintaining good on/off site working relationships.
- Ordering materials & equipment and ensuring it is on-site for specified dates.
- Carry out Safety Audits as required by line management.
- Liaising with clients directly ensuring the delivery of high-quality product.

**Background/experience required**:

- A Civil Engineering related degree / qualification
- Demonstrable experience as a Site Manager on groundworks projects. Our client is also considering those from a site engineering background who are looking to step up into a management role
- A current holder SMSTS (5 Day), CSCS card and First Aid Certificates.
- Commercially/Contractually aware.
- Previous civil engineering experience is essential.
- Appropriate knowledge of health and safety polices.
- Excellent communication and liaison skills.
- A full UK driving license.
