We are currently looking for Assistant Practitioners, or meds trained Senior Carers to join our existing team of fantastic mental health experts on a permanent basis at our peaceful Kingsthorpe Grange location, in Northampton. Here we are supporting older adults with different mental health needs.

Responsibilities for the role include:
- Be responsible for a group of staff on each shift ensuring that care is given in a safe environment.
- Manage the day to day care interventions by ensuring that allocated duties are carried out by other staff.
- Contribute to the prevention and management of untoward incidents by assisting in management contingencies (disruptive behaviour, clinical and medical emergencies).
- Managing aspects of medication management in line with the Trust and NMC guidelines.
- Assist nursing team by providing accurate feedback of residents' needs /responses to medication.
- Report relevant aspects of resident performance, behaviour and treatment outcomes to the qualified unit staff
- Participate in the induction of new staff members.
- Support/supervise any junior HSCW in delivery of care to meet the quality standards expected.
- Administer medication in line with company practices and policies.
- Support Nursing Staff in achieving service objectives and to actively contribute to the planning and achievement of care objectives within St Matthews HealthCare.
- Undertake any other duties which may be required within the Unit.
