Role

To assist the store manager in the smooth running of the store, leading sales and service within the store. The sales team leader is responsible for holding the store in managers absence and assisting in managing store operations, opening & closing the store.

**Key Requirements**:

- Be over 18 as the role requires key holding duties, opening and closing the store
- Must be fully flexible and also available evening and weekends
- Previous supervisory /team leading experience required
- Have excellent customer service skills and lead by example within the team

**Job Tasks & Activities**:
Customer Commitment:

- Promote and encourage sports sales team members to provide exceptional customer service and sales techniques
- Display and demonstrate excellent product knowledge to customers
- Analyse the daily store plans provide guidance and support to the store team

Communication:

- Liaise with fellow management team, staff and customers in a professional and friendly manner
- Follow daily direction provided by the manager in their absence and lead the team to carry out daily activities
- Communicate store sales targets with sales team members

Team Motivator:

- Motivate the team members to demonstrate the sales circle
- Encourage staff to drive sales performance
- Use of own initiative to be creative towards company expectations

Planning and Organising:

- Open and close the store
- Plan and organise daily tasks
- EPOS and daily cash office duties
- Delegate tasks to sales team members
- Control of deliveries and stockloss
- Implementation of merchandising standards
- Correct pricing of stock and checking same
- Maintaining fire, health and safety standards
- Ensure all team members adhere to Lifestyle Sports policies and procedures

**this is an 8 hour contract with overtime available**

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 8 per week

**Salary**: £8.10-£9.90 per hour
