**Position Handyperson**

**Salary: £22,063 per annum**

**Hours: Full-time - 37 hours**

**The Role**:
Manningham Housing Association is seeking a proactive and skilled Handyperson to join our team. This role involves providing high-quality minor works services to tenant homes, ensuring effective maintenance and compliance with health and safety standards.

**Responsibilities**:

- Regularly inspect common areas, including stairways, pathways, gardens, and amenity areas, reporting on conditions and identifying any breaches.
- Efficiently remove rubbish and discarded items from common areas and vacant properties, arranging their disposal or storage.
- Conduct gutter cleaning, removing debris and plant growth to ensure proper drainage and prevent water penetration.
- Perform internal cleaning of low-rise blocks and treat surfaces affected by mould growth.
- Assist the Health and Safety and Compliance Officer with on-site compliance activities.
- Undertake minor reactive repairs and support estate clean-up and grounds maintenance initiatives.
- Engage in external fencing repairs and decoration, and participate in snow removal and gritting during inclement weather.
- Ensure vehicle roadworthiness through daily checks and maintenance reporting.

**Requirements**:

- Good level of education (GCSE standard or equivalent) preferred; cleaning qualification (e.g., NVQ) is desirable.
- Valid full clean driving license.
- Experience in basic maintenance repairs, health and safety checks, and handling emergency situations.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact positively with tenants and colleagues.
- Demonstrable problem-solving skills and the ability to meet customer expectations.
