As a Computer Operator, it will be your job to prepare, launch and maintain operations on selected machines. You’ll be asked to work independently and efficiently and to problem solve in an effective manner. You will interact with users, clients and team members on a regular basis.

**Responsibilities and Duties**:

- Use the production schedule to determine the order of operations
- Use computer software to prepare the equipment for use
- Load paper into printers and plotters for output
- Know and perform the necessary commands to begin operations
- Observe all equipment and troubleshoot any error messages, malfunctions or halts in production by entering commands
- Maintain smooth operations and reload paper, making adjustments to the process as necessary and notifying a supervisor if additional resources are needed
- Complete production logs in order to record problems and actions taken
- Resolve user questions and requests
- Take preventative care of equipment including testing and maintenance
- Follow all manufacturer’s instructions and call for repairs if necessary
- Maintain equipment and supply inventories by checking stock, anticipate supply needs, place and expedite equipment orders and confirm receipt of supplies
- Evaluate any new equipment and techniques
- Preserve client confidence, protect operations and keep information confidential
- Perform any related tasks and achieve relevant results as needed
- Contribute to overall team effort

**Skills and Qualifications**
- High school diploma; Associate’s degree preferred
- 1-2 years experience in computer operations
- Understanding of machine operations, functionality and processing
- Proactive work ethic and self-starting capabilities
- Outstanding reliability and multi-tasking abilities

**Job Types**: Freelance, Full-time

Pay: £14.00-£15.00 per hour

**Benefits**:

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
