Warehouse Picker

**Purpose Statement**
- Assisting with the receiving, storage and despatch of goods ensuring quality and efficiency.

**Accountabilities**
- Maintain a sound understanding of the distribution process and how this impacts on work duties
- Ensure all orders are picked and processed efficiently and on time.
- Ensure stock returns are dealt with quickly and efficiently.
- Accepting deliveries of goods
- Verify the condition of deliveries, ensuring you do not accept damaged goods
- Identify, document and address discrepancies with all stock deliveries
- Ensure that all goods are stacked and sorted in a safe and orderly manner
- Ensure that all relevant documents are completed as per company standards
- Maintain accurate records in relation to movement and storage of goods
- Ensure that you meet deadlines to ensure the delivery of products to the clients in a timely manner
- To maximise availability and minimise wastage, coordinate all aspects of stock management, including but not limited to; keep track of all stock and equipment stored through regular stock checks, know where all stock and equipment is stored through the maintenance of accurate records, ensure stock and equipment are safely stored and are easily accessible, monitor all stock levels and decide if there is enough or if more should be ordered and order stock in a timely manner to ensure availability when required
- Maintain a clean and tidy work area at all times
- At the earliest opportunity report any issues in connection with deliveries to the Warehouse Manager
- Ensure compliance to standards in respect of all company requirements
- Comply with all company policies, rules and procedures at all times
- Wear the proper safety equipment

**Qualification requirements**
- Good communication, organisational, time management and basic mathematical skills
- Dependable and Reliable
- Inventory, Equipment maintenance, data entry and computer skills may be required
- Reasonable level of fitness due to the nature of the work

Working Hours
Part-Time - Monday-Friday 15:30-19:30 (20 hours per week)
