**Job Title - Yard Assistant**

**Location - Ottershaw**

**Job Type - Full Time**

**Hours of Work - 8am - 4pm**

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team at our Ottershaw Nursery as a full time Yards Assistant.

Kingston Landscape Group Established for over 30 years and a leading business in field, based across two sites we have over 75 staff, many of whom have worked for us for 10-20 years. We have many accreditations and have been winners of BALI and APL awards for our work. Excellent opportunities for progression and development, additional training paid at the company’s expense.
- Manoeuvring forklifts safely in busy industrial environments
- Safely stacking and unstacking large quantities of goods onto shelves or pallets
- Moving goods from storage areas to loading areas for transport
- Unloading deliveries and safely relocating the goods to their designated storage areas
- Ensuring that forklift driving areas are free from spills or obstructions
- Daily checking forklift equipment for faults or damages
- Using industrial plastic wraps and wooden pallets to safely stack and package goods for transport
- Keeping up to date on health and safety requirements and forklift operating procedures
- Consolidating partial pallets for incoming goods
- Loading and off loading Lorries
- Bagging loose aggregates and soil into “bulk bags” using “Bagging Bucket”
- Assisting in the Nursery when required to move stock using supplied lifting materials
- General housekeeping - keeping the yard clean, tidy and hazard free at all times.
- Maintaining the landscaping, including hedging, strimming, gardening and weeding.
- A variety of maintenance and decorating jobs around the yard and workshops.

**Job Requirements**:

- A valid UK Driving Licence
- Forklift licence
- Customer Service Experience
- Good Level of English

Pay: £27,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
