Steel Erector

**Overview**

**Responsibilities**
- Assemble and erect structural steel frameworks for buildings and other structures.
- Fabricate metal components according to specifications using hand tools and power tools.
- Perform welding tasks including stick welding.
- Conduct inspections of completed work to ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople to coordinate tasks on-site.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment by following health and safety protocols.
- Use basic maths skills to read blueprints and calculate measurements accurately.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience as an Ironworker or in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Excellent physical stamina and strength, capable of lifting heavy materials.
- Attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality workmanship.
- A valid health and safety certification is advantageous but not essential.
