The Art Team Lead is responsible for the Game Artist team at the studio and reports to the Art Manager for the site. The duties include the following functions but are not limited to:
**Key responsibilities**:
- Directly manage local artists within art team.
- Spend on building up expertise and develop the team by sharing best practices, insights, and managing artist's needs through knowledge transfers, trainings in/outside of the team/clans.
- Be the escalation point for artists within the team.
- Schedule art deliverables, provide support in making asset list and assign in art tasks.
- Make sure the team members follow the agreed tools, policy, processes and guidelines for development organization.
- Be the ambassador of quality to ensure every visual aspect are well thought out and will be created in the best possible quality within art team/game team.
- Facilitate the communication between team members, since members can be located in several cross functional teams.
- Ensure standards and innovation technologies in their areas.
- Share relevant insights/developments in their competence area with members of team.
- Encourage team members for self-development, mentoring them in both personal and professional.
- Participate in project's art tasks within a Game Team when needed.
- Drive performance management in cooperation with HR, Art Manager and Producers.
- Conduct performance and salary reviews in cooperation with HR and Art Manager.
- Participate in recruitment projects for the team.
**Our Art Team Lead MUST have**:
- An online portfolio of your artwork to submit for our review and amazement
- Experience working in gaming industry.
- Expert knowledge of Art tools like Photoshop
- Strong level of Drawing skills
- Excellent artistic judgement
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to provide constructive detailed feedback to suggest improvements if necessary
- Ability to present their ideas constructively
- Ability to collaborate cross departmentally with other Leads
