**An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our organisation in the role of Assistant Commercial Manager. The main scope of the role is to assist with the generation, delivery and analysis of information through commercial, business, and data intelligenceto support the commercial department. ? The Assistant Commercial Manager (ACM) is an important role, supporting the Commercial Manager (CM) in the successful commercial administration and management of SPS Contracts.**

**Key Tasks**
- Managing day-to-day contract management on CEMAR for SPS (once trained)
- Providing commercial management support of the supplier selection process and contract creation.
- Providing commercial management support of contracts during the execution phase (post-award).
- Supporting the Commercial Manager in the delivery of the contract in accordance with SPS governance requirements to meet SPS business objectives.
- Evaluating current systems, recommending solutions to generate appropriate and relevant business systems to support effective data analytics within the business.
- Supporting the Commercial Manager to ensure all Principal Accountabilities for the contract commercial team are implemented in accordance with HPC Project commercial procedures.
- Supporting the Commercial Manager in assessing?& engaging with the supply chain based on collaborative working principles?to ensure best value for the client and SPS.

**Qualifications/Knowledge**:
**Essential**:

- IT literate & experience with Microsoft Office 365
- Relevant experience in a previous role

**Desirable**:

- Experience with SAGE 50

**Skills/Experience**:
**Essential**:

- Proven experience of collaborative working and demonstrably achieving challenging targets?
- Experience of successful performance in a dynamic and challenging environment?

**Desirable**:

- Effective commercial / contract management skills are desirable, with clear knowledge of best practice contract methodologies?
- Understanding of contract performance measurement, risk management and change and claim management?
- Commercial experience and knowledge of NEC3 and CEMAR?
- Good negotiating, influencing and communication skills to command professional respect at all levels?
- Good commercial skills and ability to make sound decisions on matters of financial value?
