**Defence Equipment**
The **HSE Advisor** role is based within our **Defence Equipment**business area.
Defence equipment stores, maintains, repairs and overhauls military vehicles and equipment so the UK army is able to train and deploy in a moment. As well as supporting vehicles that are already in service, the team carries out vehicle assembly integrationand tests new vehicles.

As an**HSE Advisor** you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You will be managing the HS&E risks and implementing the requirements of company HS&E standards by cooperation and collaboration with operational management teams and site staffacross the Defence Equipment Business Unit sites.
Day to day, you will be working with site managers and operational staff, ensuring compliance with current legislation and customer Joint Service Publications, Babcock HS&E polices and processes. This will be through site reviews, audits and providing feedbackto operations upon how to meet Babcock HSE improvements.

This role is based on site at Ashchurch, working 4 days on site alongside home working arrangements everyFriday. There will be some travelling expectations between our sites as and when required.
**Essential experience**
- Driving license is essential
- Certificate (L3) in Health and Safety/HS&E or equivalent qualification
- Considerable experience in a HS&E advisor role preferably engineering or high-risk industry
- Membership of IOSH or equivalent professional body at Technical or greater grade (e.g, Tech IOSH)
- Engineering background is desirable
- You must hold or have ability to obtain SC security clearance
