**Trade Counter Assistant**

***We are recruiting for a full-time Trade Counter Assistant at a one-of-a-kind company, based in the heart of Cheltenham. You will be working for a leading distributor of plastering tools, equipment, and machinery in the UK that prides itself on theexceptional service it supplies to its customers.

Working at the forefront of their Cheltenham store, the Trade Counter Assistant will play a vital role in the successful growth and day-to-day running of the business.

Assisting the Store Manager with processing orders, dealing with customer inquiries, working on callouts, and everything in between. This is a challenging and rewarding role that provides a fantastic platform for the successful Trade Counter Assistant togrow and progress within the organisation.

**Responsibilities**:

- Greet customers as they approach the store
- Serve customers at the busy trade counter, managing customer inquiries, and orders
- Provide exceptional industry-leading customer service and build relationships with new and existing customers
- Take telephone inquiries, dealing with quotations and queries for delivery or collection
- Achieve sales targets, and confidently communicate product knowledge to customers
- Maintain branch standards - including stock management, front-of-house cleanliness, and point of sale
- Compliance with Health and Safety, company policies, and procedures

**Skills/ Experience**:

- Experience working in a customer service/administration role
- Confident and proactive
- Friendly and approachable manner
- Experience in sales and customer support would be advantageous
- Strong interpersonal skills, and excellent communication skills
- Good organisational skills
- Willingness to learn and experience all aspects of the business within the branch
- Flexible (Saturday availability - 1 in 4, 7am-1pm)
