**With 20 years of leading industry experience, SMS Environmental Ltd provides vital water hygiene services to domestic and commercial sectors throughout the UK.**

Due to exciting company growth, we are now looking a Legionella Risk Assessor to join our growing team across South England. You will help to deliver water system surveys and risk assessments to a variety of community based customers, working across a wide range of building types including individual residences and small offices to large schools, care homes and healthcare facilities. These roles are field-based and regular travel will be a core part of our role across South of England, including London.

**Your Legionella Risk Assessor role**:

- Ensuring customer and business compliance with ACoP L8, HSG274 part 2, BS 8580-1 and other relevant industry standards and guidance
- Promoting and supporting Health & Safety regulatory standards and practice at site and in our service delivery
- Problem solving /diagnosing faults within Plumbing Systems and making recommendations for maintenance and remedial work where appropriate
- Co-ordinating with the internal SMS Quality Control/Assurance team to ensure delivery of related documentation to regulatory standards
- Compiling accurate schematic diagrams of domestic water systems

**Your experience**:
**Essential**:

- Career history within the Water Hygiene Industry and/or conducting Risk Assessments
- Built key client relationships to identify types and levels of Legionella
- Effectively communicated details of Legionella and providing client focused solutions
- Monitoring risks and competent knowledge of UK Health & Safety regulatory legislation and practice
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Disclosure and Barring Service clearance (Enhanced DBS check)
