We are urgently recruiting for an experienced Store Sales Assistant for our client, an independent local paint and decorating store based in the Lytham St Annes. This is a full time role but our client is also open to a part time job share opportunity.

Hours of work are 8.30am-4.30pm Monday to Friday with Wednesday and Saturday hours being 8.30am-12.30pm

Duties Include but are not limited to:

- First point of contact for all customers queries both face to face and over the phone
- Assist customers in product selection
- Stock ordering and replenishing
- Maintain knowledge of current sales and promotions
- Process customer card/cash transactions accurately and efficiently
- Upsell additional products or services to customers
- Perform opening and closing duties, such as cashing up tills, running reports, cleaning the store and securing shop premises.

**Requirements**:

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational and time management abilities
- Previous customer service/retail store experience essential
- Experience working in or knowledge of decorating/DIY industry desirable

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

**Salary**: £11.50-£14.50 per hour

Expected hours: 38 per week

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

**Experience**:

- Retail sales: 1 year (required)
- customer service: 1 year (required)

Work Location: In person
