A rare opportunity to join the specialist R&D Tax team of this award-winning firm of Chartered Accountants and Advisors. This role would suit a highly-motivated problem solver with exceptional interpersonal skills, looking for an exciting new challenge.

The Team

This team provides advice to their clients on claiming valuable tax relief to encourage innovation and increase spending on R&D activities. To do this, they must collectively maintain and regularly build upon their tax technical knowledge of relevant R&D legislation. They operate collaboratively in a fast-paced and exciting department, working closely with impressive and highly innovative clients, predominantly from scientific, technological, engineering, and research sectors.

The role
- Meeting with clients (both virtually and in person) to fully understand their business
- Identifying suitable projects that meet relevant government guidelines for innovative businesses
- Explaining the impact a relief claim will have on each client’s tax position, compliance and growth strategy
- Writing comprehensive reports for HMRC submission
- Providing proactive advice to clients on legislative changes and how these may impact their claim(s)
- Involvement with and supporting other specialist advisory projects including the Enterprise Investment Scheme and preparing share valuations

You will be:

- Experienced in R&D Tax or UK Corporate tax
- A strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills and abilities to explain complex matters in a clear, concise manner (both written and verbally)
- A problem solver with strong attention to detail and inquisitive mind
- Adaptable, proactive and highly motivated
- Interested in new technologies
- Keen to study towards relevant professional qualification
