Lancaster University Law School has a thriving suite of Law Clinics and a wide-range of clinically-focused teaching modules. This is an exciting opportunity to join our award-winning team to build upon and develop our successful practical, skills-focused provision.

We are looking to appoint a person who is entitled to practise as a solicitor or barrister in England and Wales and who holds a current practising certificate. You must be authorised to give legal advice to members of the public. You will supervise the work of the students, including setting and marking the assessments of those students who participate in the Law Clinic and its related teaching modules. You will also be required to supervise letters of advice to clients. We advise in a wide range of legal areas, but the ability to supervise students working on advising clients on matters relating to wills and/or landlord and tenant issues would be desirable. The holder of the post will be asked to take up a key role in the School relating to maintaining and developing contacts with alumni.

You will contribute to the School’s modules as required and you will also take on administrative responsibilities and/or leadership roles as requested by the Head of School. You will be fully supported in all you do, with a tailored programme of staff mentoring and comprehensive staff development opportunities.
