**Job summary**:
- Drive digital transformation at scale and take on an exceptional career-defining opportunity to empower people through technology. Ofgem is looking for a Head of Salesforce Centre of Excellence to spearhead an enterprise-wide Salesforce strategy, enhancing internal innovation and enabling smarter, faster ways of working.
Ofgem is Great Britain’s independent energy regulator. We’re at the forefront of change across the energy sector, driving toward Net Zero whilst protecting energy consumers - especially vulnerable people.
This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for someone ready to drive forward Ofgem’s Salesforce vision. You’ll set the strategic direction for our Salesforce capability and drive our Salesforce expertise and innovation, whilst working with outstanding technology suites such as Coforge, our Salesforce systems integration partner.
You’ll have the chance to shape a function from the ground up, building a Centre of Excellence that delivers real value across the organisation. You’ll be getting involved with defining how Salesforce is adopted and governed, setting best practices, and embedding scalable, user-focused solutions. It’s an opportunity to take ownership of a strategic capability and see the direct impact of your leadership across multiple programmes and teams.
We’re looking for someone who brings a confident command of Salesforce PaaS technologies, paired with the ability to inspire others and align cross-functional stakeholders behind a clear strategic vision. Your background will include optimising delivery flows, addressing complex dependencies, and enabling high-performing teams through agile practices. Experience working in a public sector environment will be a distinct advantage.
Ofgem offers a truly collaborative culture, where you are enabled to lead and your impact is visible. You’ll benefit from a wealth of professional development opportunities and will be able to shape an environment where Salesforce is seen not just as a tool, but as a powerful enabler of Ofgem’s strategic goals.
We have a critical purpose to drive strategic business improvements across our mission-critical organisation. By joining Ofgem, you’ll play a key role in driving more efficient operations at Ofgem, ultimately supporting the transition to Net Zero and helping us protect consumers.
**Job description**:
**Purpose**
The Head of Salesforce Centre of Excellence (CoE) is responsible for the Salesforce strategic direction, capabilities, and operational excellence in Ofgem. The role requires a strong understanding of the Salesforce product suite, Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) offerings, administration and development.
It also requires strategic vision, strong leadership, and programme management skills to ensure the successful delivery of initiatives and the ongoing adoption of Salesforce across the organisation.
**Key Responsibilities**
- ** Strategic Leadership and Governance**:
- Define, implement and communicate the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Salesforce CoE, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives and digital transformation goals.
- Establish and enforce governance frameworks, standards, and best practices for Salesforce utilisation across the organisation.
- Monitor emerging Salesforce technologies and assess their potential impact on current and future business needs.
- **
Centre of Excellence (CoE) Management**:
- Build and manage a high-performing CoE team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Develop and deliver training programs to enhance the team’s Salesforce capabilities and ensure knowledge sharing.
- Measure and report on the CoE’s performance and adoption, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes.
- **
Offshore Systems Integrator (SI) Relationship Management**:
- Establish and maintain strong partnerships with offshore SIs, ensuring clear communication and alignment of objectives.
- Oversee the quality and timeliness of deliverables from offshore partners, ensuring they meet organisational standards and requirements.
