Do you have a calm and reassuring personality?
Would you like to help primary-age children who have Special Educational Needs?
Do you want to help children who need extra assistance and gain valuable school-based work experience?
Are you considering a career in education or have an interest in learning about SEN?
You will be supporting children in the classroom and around the school. You will need to be confident and have excellent behaviour management skills. You may be asked to work 1:1 depending on the needs of the children.
Essential Criteria:

- At least 6 months experience of working with children or vulnerable adults
- 2 years' worth of references, 1 has to be working with children or vulnerable adults (needs to be recent and this could be paid or volunteer work)
- A relevant DBS/Police check
- Able to work between 08.30-15.30 and a minimum of 2 days a week
Responsibilities and duties:

- Supporting children in the class
- Assisting children in their work outside of the classroom
- Working 1:1 and in small groups
- Assisting children with their social and emotional development, including appropriate responses and building relationships
- Implementing behaviour management tools in line with the school's policy
