IT Technician

**Platform Resourcing** are partnered with a company in **Swansea**to appoint an **IT Technician**to join their team. This position is a **12 month fixed term contract, with the view of going permanent.**

With year-on-year growth, and a reputation built strongly on the events they hold, this is an exciting role for someone to take responsibility for the network and audio visual systems within the events, and travel both within the UK and the EU. You willdeploy and support the installations, ensuring all the equipment including laptops, projectors, speakers, and network is set up, including for the attendees and the presenters. **Duties of the IT Technician position**
- Operating as an on site and remote technician for live and online training events within the European region, travelling up to 3 times per month
- Acting as technical liaison, assisting venue AV and network set up and troubleshooting any network or internet issues which may arise
- Provide assistance to course instructors, assistants and other attendees on all technical aspects such as network streaming, lab performance and localized connection issues etc
- Escalating issues that cannot be dealt with by first response and logging technical issues
- Providing service desk triage and response for requests

**Skills required to be successful as an IT Technician**
- 1 year plus experience of hands-on experience of installing and configuring computer networking equipment and/or audio visual equipment such as projectors, conference lines etc
- Strong communicator both over the phone, face to face and online
- Proficient in wire and wireless network concepts, hardware, cable and best practices
- Proficient in dealing with troubleshooting and performance issues
- Ability to travel to Europe
