This is a great opportunity to join a leading produce / FMCG company, who are looking for a Network Administrator /Technician in their IT team, putting your experience to help deliver secure and reliable systems and networks. **SALARY ETC**:

- Permanent, full-time
- Kent
- Mainly Monday to Friday, office hours, although there may be occasional unsociable hours when needed.
- Provide weekend/evening support on an (approximately) eight-week rota basis

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Software experience in: Microsoft Windows server (2012 R2 onwards), Active Directory (hybrid environment), Group policy, DHCP and DNS, Hyper-V, Microsoft Windows 10, Microsoft 365, PRTG, Veeam, Atlassian products (JIRA, Confluence)
- Hardware experience in: Dell servers, SANs (Dell Compellent, PowerStore), Routers & switching (Cisco & Dell), Wireless Access Points (Ruckus), Power Management (Eaton)
- Positive, outgoing & friendly personality
- Excellent communicator - verbally and written
- Calm, Intelligent, Creative thinker with strong problem-solving skills, Logical & systematic
- Ability to interact with any level of staff with confidence & clarity
- Full, clean driving licence
- Ability to work alone, on own initiative or as part of a team as required
- Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines, planning time & priorities
- Willingness to work occasional unsocial hours

**DUTIES TO INCLUDE**:

- Make appropriate changes and additions to the IT Systems infrastructure
- Monitor and maintain the IT Systems at single site and within the cloud
- Manage and maintain back up and recoverability testing of the IT Systems
- Maintain infrastructure in line with IT Systems disaster recovery plan
- Liaise with equipment and software vendors to as part of on-going maintenance and upgrades, in addition to specifying contracts and SLA’s
- Provide and maintain a secure IT operating environment for the business and produce root cause analysis
- Establish network specifications by establishing user access and security requirements, designing networks, including interface configuration and routing protocols
- Maintain network by evaluating performance issues; planning and executing the selection, installation, configuration, and testing of equipment; defining network policies and procedures
- Maintains network performance by performing network monitoring and analysis, and performance tuning; troubleshooting network problems; escalating problems to vendor
- Secure network by developing network access, monitoring, control, and evaluation; maintaining documentation
- Prepares users by designing and conducting training programs, providing references and support
- Provide user support and act as point of escalation for support team
- Upgrades network by conferring with vendors; developing, testing, evaluating, and installing enhancements
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organisations
