Practice Educator for Children and Young People

The Clinical Educator will provide leadership and direction to the staff within care pathways for which they are accountable, to ensure delivery of safe, high quality care in line with the organisations strategic vision. The post holder must be able to motivate teams to reach their full potential by provision of exemplary clinical and professional line management skills including hands on clinical practice and provision of education and training. DIMENSIONS OF THE JOB The post holder will be responsible for the training and development of workforce and ensure evidence based practice is adhered to. To role model compassionate and inclusive leadership developing a culture of engagement to enable and empower others.
To develop a culture of ownership of learning and quality improvement, facilitating a collaborative team working aligned with a robust governance and assurance framework. To work closely with the Patient Safety and Governance Nursing team for Paediatrics and Neonates to ensure key messages are shared and best practice is embedded in every day working. Work collaboratively across Trust paediatric services and local and national working groups as required representing paediatric services across a variety of professional platforms. The post holder will exercise accountability as set out in the NMC Code of Professional Conduct, demonstrating professional leadership standards at all times.
