These roles are permanent full time roles of 40 hours per week (Monday to Thursday 8.00-5.00, Friday early finish at 1pm) and within the production assembly department. These hands on production assembly process roles would suit proactive team players withgood interaction skills, good numeracy and literacy and ability to lift and carry 50 pounds /50lbs totes equipment.Full training will be given for this role, it is open to anyone who has the necessary skills and attributes looking for a new career, changeof career or in need of a job, new employment., although you must be able to work the hours and have the right flexible attitude and be willing to be trained. The ideal trainee assembly operatives will have the below skills and experiences;
- Some previous experience of working in a production plant or warehouse or similar role / industry
- Good basic maths ability (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division of whole numbers, fractions, percentages, and decimal)
- Able to lift and carry 50lbs pounds / totes/ equipment
- Good literacy/ ability to read labels,instructions filling and packaging instructions at beginning of line runs
- Full driving licence to get to the Andover site or live a commutable distance to the industrial site
- You must be an excellent team player and good communication skills
- True willingness to learn and develop a career within this industry

Desirable
- Any engineering / technical / mechanical qualifications or aptitude
- Any safety / Hazardous Material Safety/ continuous improvement processes qualifications and training & ability to follow safety quality procedures and track productivity data (run rates, fill weights etc)

Working as part of the production assembly team, the key responsibilities include;
- Review and read filling and packaging instructions at beginning of line runs ensuring availability of correct packaging materials, PPE, ensure production line is set up correctly
- Line Operating
- including loading lines with empty containers, labelling, filling, capping, bar coder generation, taking samples, keeping area clean and organized
- Continuously operate filling and packaging equipment. Types of equipment could include filler, sleeve labeller, cappers, tape machine, bar coders, ink jet printer, hand wrenches, hand stamps, palletizers, and lid presses.
- Monitoring; Adjusting equipment to control weight, closures etc and participating in Kaizens, 5S and special projects and identify opportunities for system and process waste elimination
- Documenting/ recording; Completing documents activities that measure quality and productivity in an accurate and timely manner (eg include taking weights and performing basic quality tests, entering results)
- Completing packaging and filling assignment meeting or exceeding the standards.
- Assists with line changeover, including the collection of wash water and maintaining a safe clean work environment.
