**Job Title**:Handyman / Woman

**Salary**: £23,338
**The Client**
Our client offers modern, quality apartments and houses for sale, rent and Shared Ownership across the North West. They are looking for a handyman / woman to help maintain their properties in the Manchester area.
**The Role of Handyman / Woman**
**- To be an integral member of the team in providing a low-level maintenance and compliance service.**
- To carry out associated work duties within designated schemes, as per the regular work schedules to ensure that they are safe place in which to live and work.
- To manage the rotation/collection of waste/recycling containers and to arrange for the cleaning/clearing of bin corrals, as and when required, where applicable.
- To offer a bespoke tenant ‘handyperson’ service.
- To undertake low level, day to day maintenance activities, on areas that training has been provided.
- To report all defects in equipment, communal lighting and general repairs to the blocks and to make regular checks that work has been completed.
- To attend training to ensure competence in all works activities is achieved and continually reviewed
**- To be familiar with COSHH and adhere to associated risk assessments within the workplace.**
**- To assist and carry out joint inspections with the local fire service if required.**
**- To undertake regular health and safety block inspections, ensure that remedial actions are taken as required and appropriate records maintained**
**- To support were and when required in any emergency situations, includes assisting contractors, emergency services and other staff**
**- To promote positive relationships with contractors and tenants, by assisting tenants with problems and complaints by liaison and / or consultation with other Company’s personnel.**
**The Person**
- Minimum of 3 GCSE grades A to C or equivalent to include Maths and English.
- IT basic skills listed - Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint - in order to locate and update registers
- First Aid (desirable)
- Fire safety awareness training
- Completing of a recognised general operative apprenticeship or equivalent work experience
- Experience of delivering a multi skilled whole job approach to repairs and maintenance.
- Experience of conducting Health and Safety monitoring checks
- A driving licence to travel between locations as required
