The overall purpose of this role is the management of our Real Time Systems (RTS) team including ICA Technicians, Telemetry Engineers & a Telemetry Project Manager and the effective delivery of the associated capital refresh programmes across our operationaltechnology estate including quite few wastewater treatment plants. The role is accountable for managing both the internal team and third-party partners, where appropriate, for the delivery of our key PLC/SCADA infrastructure projects.
The key activities are as follows:
Line management and development of RTS Delivery Team.
Supplier management of key framework contracts including day to day management of project activities e.g. site surveys, project meetings, installations, monthly review meetings, programme management, KPIs and reporting etc.
Develop and agree phased programme, scope of work and delivery prioritisation with key stakeholders.
Ensure effective delivery of programmes of work adhering to our corporate standards and governance model.
Ensure full Health & Safety and Environmental compliance.
Deliver standard programme reporting framework to Planned Works Manager.
To manage technical approval, support and control of project scope, FDS, commissioning/testing, training, handover activities and deliverables e.g. software/hardware management and asset registration and maintenance.
Day to day cost management of RTS Programme of works.
Head of MEI
The post-holder will need to ensure effective stakeholder management, have an ability to influence decision makers and drive change in the behaviour of others.
Develop and implement processes for quality checks and ensure that they are followed in respect of improvements to RTS systems.
Develop and implement processes for mitigation support with Field Teams to manage critical spares, software control and user management etc.
Provide technical knowledge of SCADA / PLC / Telemetry system architecture and infrastructure.
