The Kitchen Porter plays a crucial role in supporting the culinary team by ensuring that the kitchen is clean, organised, and well-equipped for food preparation. **Duties**
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment.
- Assist with food preparation tasks as directed by the chefs, ensuring high standards of hygiene and safety are adhered to.
- Help with the storage and inventory management of kitchen supplies and ingredients.
- Support chefs during busy service periods by providing necessary assistance in food assembly and presentation.
- Ensure that all kitchen waste is disposed of properly and that recycling procedures are followed.
- Maintain a positive attitude while working under pressure in a busy kitchen environment.

**Skills**
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is advantageous but not essential; a willingness to learn is key.
- Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations is beneficial.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Excellent teamwork skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanour.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
