My Client are currently recruiting a Design and Planning Technician to their Technical team in Shropshire reporting to the Development Manager and Drawing Office Manager. The successful post-holder will work within the Technical department servicing thebusiness.

**Client Details**

My Client is an award winning independant house builder who have been developing quality homes in Shropshire and surrounding areas for the last 40 years. Due to continued growth they are now adding a Design and Planning Technician to their office in Shropshire.

**Description**
- Interpret instructions from the Heads of Department, Design Manager and Delivery Team regarding the technical production of drawings
- Ensure the dimensional accuracy and compliance with available drawings and specifications of information issued
- Contribute towards risk register and procurement schedule requirements as required
- Completion of Working and detail drawings as required
- Comply with all Health and Safety requirements and coordinate with Principle Designer
- Adhere to departmental CAD standards for standard drawing production in order to produce high quality deliverables.
- Be flexible and adaptable regarding CAD task programmes with respect to both

**Profile**
- ONC / HNC in an Architectural related discipline
- Strong CAD skills with at least two years relevant CAD experience
- Extensive experience in the production of construction related drawings
- Ability to take instructions or sketches and produce unambiguous working drawings to a high standard of accuracy in an appropriate format, and to agreed timescales
- Awareness of technical regulations and requirements
- Knowledge and understanding of the design process
- Must have used AutoCAD software, some experience in Revit would be an advantage.
- Problem solving and decision making skills in line with level of responsibility
- Recognise and understand the importance of your own contribution to CDM and SHE in the workplace.
- Must be able to commute to Shropshire
