Brook Street Recruitment is working on behalf of our Belfast client to recruit a full time and permanent Senior Data and Analytics Officer
The Senior Data and Analytics Officer will manage and mitigate the companies' data protection compliance risk, HR Information System (HRIS) and oversee the data retention schedule for the organisation.
Recommending and implementing strategic improvements to policy, systems, and reporting, including continuous improvement in order to meet the large-scale data needs of the business. In addition, the post holder will be responsible for the collection, analysis, and presentation of data analytics for external mandatory returns and internal management information, to include KPI data.
Duties
Contribute to the management and ongoing development of the HR Information System (HRIS), ensuring this operates to its full potential, for the benefit of management and employees, resolving issues as required.
Develop and maintain effective internal and external relations, to include the Senior Management Team and Managers across the Association.
Lead cross-functional projects using data modelling and analysis, to discover insights that will guild strategic decisions and uncover optimisation opportunities.
Provide leadership to the team and support staff ensuring personal development through the Appraisal Process to achieve team and personal objectives.
Recruit, monitor and manage the performance of the team, ensuring staff comply with all policies and procedures, regulatory and statutory requirements.
Direct and support staff and facilitate appropriate training to ensure they are suitably skilled and equipped to meet the needs of their role.
Observe the principles of value for money, efficiency, and effectiveness in the delivery of corporate services.
Criteria
Level six qualification (e.g., Bachelor's Degree, Graduate diploma) in a Business-related discipline or Information Technology OR At least 3 years' experience (gained in the last 8 years) in data management or information technology systems and BI/analytical reporting at officer level, in an organisation of at least 50 employees.
Experience of implementing policies and procedures and contributing to their development.
Extensive experience of fully utilising Information Systems and associated reporting packages.
Ability to analyse, interpret and act upon large amounts of data, for internal and external use, with a keen attention to detail.
Ability to plan and prioritise personal and project workloads, ensuring all deadlines have been met.
A current full driving licence and access to a suitable form of transport*
