We are currently seeking an Assistant Asset Surveyor to join our team. The main purpose of this role is to be responsible for asset surveys including adaptations and customer alterations and determining Customer First outcomes.

**About the role**

Within this role your main responsibilities will include:

- Undertaking surveys and inspections to approve customer requests for alterations and / or adaptations, void properties and communal and common areas
- Undertaking Quality Inspections of works
- Liaising, collaborating and communicating with customers and colleagues about surveys and works
- Completing Neighbourhood Surveys, raising works orders for defects
- Ideally hold an appropriate construction related qualification along with specific technical specialism training / qualifications / awareness (health and safety, fire safety, asbestos etc)
- Have an understanding of legislative requirements for Asset Management and Building Safety
- Be a strong communicator
- Be a strong team player with the proven ability to be supportive of others
- Have the ability to plan and prioritise own workload
- Have experience from within the building industry, ideally working within a customer focussed housing repair and maintenance or planned works team
- Have experience of undertaking property and neighbourhood surveys to assess the condition of components against prescribed standards
